A 14-year-old Jewish boy was lightly injured in the back in a stabbing attack, police said Saturday.
Police launched an operation to hunt for the stabber, who fled the scene, and said nationalistic motives were behind the attack.
Magen David Adom paramedics treated the boy at Damascus Gate of the Old City before transferring him to hospital.
On Friday, An Israeli sustained light wounds after being stabbed by a Palestinian near Shaar Binyamin in the West Bank.
An initial investigation revealed that the Palestinian stepped out of his car and asked the Israeli for water; as soon as the Israeli turned around the Palestinian stabbed him in the neck.
