MK Hermesh: I'll submit plan for fortification of near-Gaza communities
Knesset Member Shai Hermesh (Kadima) requested an urgent meeting with the defense minister and head of the Jewish Agency, in order tp present before them his plan for the fortification of the near-Gaza communities. The plan was already approved by the Home Front Command.
According to Hermesh's plan, a security room will be installed in each residential unit, at a cost of NIS 50-75,000 (USD 11-16,000)per unit. The project's cost is expected to amount to NIS 500-750 million (roughly USD 110-160 million). (Ilan Marciano)
