Madonna gave it all to her good young friend Britney Spears. But apparently their friendship has disintegrated. What could pull apart the two stars? According to MSNBC it's all because of the Kabbalah.
An MSNBC report suggests that Madonna, who has spent a lot of time and money wooing the younger singer into the Kabbalah, was shocked by rumors that Spears has been consulting with a Christian life coach about her troubled marriage to Kevin Federline.
And even though Spears has been spotted wearing the trendy red string bracelet and gazing at Kabbalah books, the report claimed that Madonna was bitter about Spears' attitude towards the holy script.
The last straw was when Spears wrote on her website that she was no longer studying Kabbalah. "My baby is my religion," she wrote, which reportedly infuriated her spurned mentor.
“Madonna spent months teaching Britney the Kabbalah system and splashed out thousands on the ancient scripture for her,” said a source quoted by Virgin.net. The site further reported that Madonna is demanding that Spears return the twelfth-century book on Kabbalah that she gave her as a wedding present.
Madonna’s spokesman did not respond, but according to the source, “She feels she has wasted time, money and precious gifts on Brit.”
