Jerusalem: Archeologists discover mikve from 2nd temple period
Archeologists from the antiquities authority discovered an ancient mikve (ritual bath) from the second temple period during restoration work on the tunnels below the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz said the mikve was one of the largest ever uncovered, and constitutes, “Another level in exposing the splendid past of the Jewish people in the area.”
