MKs Yacimovich and Marciano: compensate residents under fire

Labor MKs Shelly Yacimovich and Yoram Marciano appealed to the government to declare emergency status for northern Israel communities. The two, who toured shelters across the north, said that they met many hungry people who require aid. Yacimovich and Marciano stated that if the government does not declare emergency status, they would petition support to initiate a Knesset plenum debate on the subject.
The two also appealed to Minister of Finance Abraham Hirchson to cancel the VAT decrease, and transfer subsequent funds to residents of the north. (Attila Somflavi)
