Israeli jets hit a transmission station in north Lebanon on Saturday used to relay television and mobile telephone signals, military sources said. There was no immediate word on casualties. The raid on the transmission station in Jebel Aitou came after earlier attacks on a station used by several Lebanese television channels, including Hizbullah's al-Manar, and a mobile telephone mast in Christian areas north of Beirut. The official in charge of the station transmitting LBC programs was killed, the channel said. A nun at a nearby church said two French nationals also were lightly wounded. An Israeli army spokeswoman said Israel hit a transmitter broadcasting Hizbullah radio and television programs and a second transmitting telephone frequencies "used by Hizbullah". The official said that the stations were used for broadcasting anti-Israel propaganda and incitement against the country. On Friday the IAF struck more than 124 terror targets in Lebanese territory, and an overall of 1,750 targets have been attacked since the onset of the operation. Among the targets hit are Hizbullah arms depots, including a bunker located near a rocket launching site, five rocket launchers, dozens of the organization's buildings and headquarters, a terror cell, two bridges and 12 transportation routes connecting Syria and Lebanon, communication lines, suspicious vehicles and some 90 launch pads.
