VIDEO - The Israel Defense Forces has launched a new operation in Gaza Wednesday morning in order to destroy terror infrastructure. Sources in Gaza said seven Palestinians were killed and some 30 more were injured Wednesday during the operation in the northern Strip. The Israeli Air Force struck three terror cells, and shortly before 7 a.m. Palestinian sources in Gaza said at least one civilian was killed by an IDF tank missile. Earlier eyewitnesses in Gaza said a helicopter gunship fired a missile that hit a building belonging to Hamas-affiliated security forces. Soon after the strike, Hamas said a member was killed. Eight people were reported injured in the attack. More strikes Earlier, hospital officials in Gaza City said two Palestinians were injured in an air strike on another building. There situation remains unclear. Troops are expected to leave the area once their mission is accomplished. The army said the neighborhood is a stronghold of gunmen and tough resistance is expected. On Tuesday, a 14-year-old Palestinian was killed by IDF fire near Khan Younis. Palestinians said the teenager was killed when the IDF fired a missile at a group of Palestinian gunmen.
