Lebanon: 3 Hizbullah terrorists killed

Soldiers operating in Bint Jbeil kill three terrorists as they search for arms infrastructures. During night hours, Air Force bombs dozens of targets in Lebanon including Hizbullah bases and rocket launchers

Day 17: IDF forces are continuing to operate Friday in the village of Bint Jbeil. According to reports soldiers shot and hit a number of terrorists, killing at least three. There are no injuries among soldiers.

The forces are continuing to search for weapons infrastructures and activity in the area.

The Air Force has meanwhile struck over 130 targets on Thursday night and in the early hours of Friday morning across Lebanon. The targets hit included a Hizbullah base and rocket launchers.

A message was sent to a number of residents of villages in southern Lebanon requesting them to leave their villages and head north by ten in the morning on Friday.

The IDF said that "every vehicle traveling in the area after this hour and everyone who doesn't evacuate their home is endangering their life."

The message, sent to residents via leaflets and local media, was addressed to a number of communities in the eastern district, adjacent to Metula, including Majdel Salam.

The IDF said its message was one of a number of earlier messages transferred to residents south of the Litani river. Residents have been told to leave their homes and travel north across the river for the sake of their own safety.

The IDF said that the call was made "for the sake of the safety of the residents of the area – which are being exploited by Hizbullah terrorists as a 'live shield' in their operations from within population centers."

Among targets struck by the Air Force: A Hizbullah base in the Lebanon Valley from which long-range rockets have been fired at Israel, and 57 structures used by Hizbullah – including tents, tunnels, and gas stations.

In addition, the Air Force also attacked six communication facilities used by the organization used to fire rockets at Israel.

The IDF said that it "will continue to work with determination in order to protect the citizens of Israel from terror from Lebanese territory and to create the conditions for the safe return of the two kidnapped soldiers – Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwaser."
