Lebanese president rejects stationing of multinational force - only trusts UN

The President of Lebanon, Emile Lahoud, rejected the idea that a multinational force would be stationed in southern Lebanon. In an interview with al-Jazeera, Lahoud said that he "trusts only the UN."

 

According to him, "it is preferable to reinforce UNIFIL than to station forces from France, or any other country." (Roee Nahmias)
