Syrian President Bashar Assad said Monday that "the aggression, killing and destruction committed by the Israelis in Lebanon are part of an operation that was planned and organized by the large forces dominating the international community."
Assad's words came in a statement issued to the media to mark the 61 anniversary of the establishment of the Syrian army. (Roee Nahmias)
