Olmert retracts realignment remarks

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Thursday evening that the military offensive against Hizbullah in Lebanon "has no connection" to political plans on other fronts.
Olmert's comments came during a meeting with National Religious-NRP MK Effie Eitam who expressed concerns over earlier remarks by the prime minister that the offensive in Lebanon will facilitate plans to pull settlers from the West Bank. (Ronny Sofer)
