Intel launches new Israeli developed chip

Intel has announced the launch of its new chip, developed at the corporation’s Haifa R&D; center.
The new chip, the Dual Core, will be at core of Intel’s new mobile and desktop production line.
"The Core microarchitecture is a technical marvel that is driving a new era of power efficiency," said Pat Gelsinger, senior VP and general manger of Intel's Digital Enterprise Group.
The chip is Intel's next generation microprocessor series which offers increased performance with lower power consumption. Over 200 international server and workstation models will be based on the new chip developed in Israel.
