Palestinians celebrate Israeli deaths

Nablus residents set out in celebratory processions, wave Hizbullah flag after learning that 10 Israelis were killed by rockets

Hizbullah's al-Manar television described the killing of 10 Israeli civilians in a rocket attack as a "day of accomplishments."

"The enemy admitted it had killed an injured following rockets by the resistance," al-Manar's newsreader said during a special bulleting.

"It is possible to see in pictures coming from the enemy's television networks, which are subject to tight monitoring by the army, of the large strike and panic," the broadcaster said. "There are incidents of nervous breakdowns and hysteria on their part. They didn't expect to receive such a blow by the resistance missiles," the Hizbullah broadcaster boasted.

'Revenge from God against crimes of Israel'

In Nablus' city center, dozens of cars and cabs set out in celebratory processions as soon as they learned of the difficult outcome of the Hizbullah shelling.

Car owners, some of whom waved photographs of Nasrallah, waved Hizbullah flags, and called out in glee. They called on Nasrallah to continue to shell Israel, and also asked him "to shell Tel Aviv."

Al-Aqsa Brigades gunmen of Fatah fired in the air in celebration, as children and traders set off fireworks.

Many store owners handed out fruits and candy to those celebrating the deaths, in scenes reminiscent of reactions to scenes of joy by Palestinians after especially bloody terrorist attacks in Israel.

One of the gunmen, a senior figure in the Brigades, told Ynet that "this Hizbullah attack is a major success, and it is revenge from God against the crimes of Israel, which only in recent days killed dozens of children in Qana and many children in Gaza."

He added: "We pray that Hizbullah's success continued until the occupation understands that power has no use and that power is one day with you and one day against you. The armed resistance in Lebanon and Palestine will continue until the end of the occupation."
