Meretz leader Yossi Beilin said Friday that the government's decision to widen the ground operation against Hizbullah in southern Lebanon amounts to giving a "prize" to the Shiite group.
"If the widening of the ground operation to the Litani is carried out, the results will be long weeks of a war of attrition," Beilin said. (Attila Somfalvi)
