Olmert: Resolution 1701 fundamentally changes situation on northern border
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the Knesset that "a month ago the Israeli government approved a decision to set out on a war against Hizbullah. The responsibility for this falls on me, as prime minister. I am not seeking to share this responsibility with anyone."
Olmert added that "this morning UN Resolution 1701 came into effect. This decision changes fundamentally the situation on our northern border." (Ilan Marciano)
