MK responses: Left and right demand bash gov’t commission of inquiry
MK Chaim Oron (Meretz) decried Olmert’s choice not to appoint a state commission of inquiry, stating that Olmert’s positive impression of the war does not match the public’s impression. “A government commission of inquiry will not address the deep crisis that the state of Israeli is in,” he said.
His colleague from the right side of the political spectrum, MK Effie Eitam (National Union-NRP) also berated Olmert’s choice in the matter, calling the government commission of inquiry “a commission of foot-dragging and escaping responsibility.” (Attila Somflavi)
