PMO: We were amazed to hear state comptroller's grievances in media

The Prime Minister's Office published a response to the state comptroller's report, which said, "We were amazed to hear, from the media of course, of the state comptroller's grienvances. Article 21 of the State Comptroller Law establishes that the comptroller must prepare an opinion on any issue in realm of his position, whether he is requested to do so by the Knesset, a committee, or the cabinet."

It was also reported that "All the prime minister's moves have been and will continue to be coordinated ahead of time with the attorney general. In as much as we heard from the media, the comptroller wrote the report to the press himself. We are convinced he made a grave mistake, and it is inconceivable that the state comptroller is not familiar with the law, which gives him the authority to act."  (Attila Somfalvi)
