Shin Bet chief: North Samaria turned into 'Islamic Jihad land'

Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin said in a discussion of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, "With the withdrawal of the IDF from northern Samaria during the disengagement, the region turned into 'Islamic Jihad land.'"

Diskin made these statements during a security analysis he presented to the members of the committee. He added, "During that time, the Shin Bet expressed its opinion on the withdrawal of the IDF from northern Samaria." (Ilan Marciano)
