Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in a briefing of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, "What we did in southern Lebanon constitutes a deterrent element against the Syrians, because they understand that we limited ourselves in our use of force."
According to him, "In a battle against them, we will remove the limitations we have placed on ourselves." (Ilan Marciano)
