The singer Cat Stevens, known as Yousef Islam following his conversion to Islam, criticized Pope Benedict XVI's on Sunday for his controversial comments about Islam.
The singer said in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corp. that the pope's words proved that he was not infallible. The pope should familiarize himself with more peaceful interpretation of the religion, such as the writings of Indian leader Mohandas Gandhi, the he added. (AP)
