Report: Milan judge convicts 3 Tunisians on terrorism charges

None

A judge in Milan has convicted three Tunisians on terrorism charges and sentenced them to prison terms ranging from four to six years, Italian news agencies reported Saturday.

The three are believed to be part of a cell with links to terrorist groups including Ansar al-Islam, an organization active in Iraq that has ties to Osama bin-Laden's al-Qaeda network. Police have said the cell planned attacks in Italy and abroad, and recruited fighters for Afghanistan and Iraq. (AP)
