IDF kills Palestinian in southern Gaza

Ayman Sifi, 22, was killed by IDF fire in Dahaniyeh neighborhood in southern Gaza; IDF says soldiers opened fire on two gunmen spotted advancing towards troops operating in area

Palestinian sources in the Gaza Strip reported Tuesday morning that an IDF force killed a Palestinian in the Dahaniyeh neighborhood in the southern Gaza Strip.

 

The army said soldiers opened fire on two gunmen spotted advancing towards troops operating in the area.

 

Palestinian medical sources identified the killed Palestinian as Ayman Sifi, 22.

 

Meanwhile, Palestinian gunmen fired three anti-tank missiles at troops operating in the northern Gaza Strip, east of the Beit Hanoun neighborhood.

 

No one was injured and no damage was reported.

 

In Beit Lahiya, two Palestinians were injured by IDF fire overnight Tuesday as they were spotted planting a bomb near a section of the security fence.

 

The two gunmen were said to be members of the Popular Resistance Committees.

 

On Monday, the IDF fired at four Palestinian gunmen in Beit Lahiya.

 

Palestinian sources said three gunmen were attempting to plant a roadside bomb in the area when IDF soldiers opened fire injuring two. The third gunmen fled.

 

In the West Bank, IDF soldiers injured two wanted terror suspects during operations in Qalqilya and Jenin.

 

In Qalqilya a wanted terror suspect was injured when he tried to avoid arrest. He was transferred to a hospital in Israel and will be remanded for interrogation.

In Jenin, IDF soldiers fired at a Tanzim operative who attempted to escape from a building in the West Bank city.
