Man injured in West Bank shooting attack

Israeli says terrorists fired at his car while he was driving; IDF conducts searches in area. Man evacuated to hospital in moderate condition, but his condition later improves

An Israeli was moderately injured early Thursday morning in a shooting attack near the Fadouel settlement in the West Bank.
The man said terrorists opened fire on him as he drove his car on t he road leading to the settlement. The Israel Defense Forces searched the area in an attempt to locate the perpetrators.
The army estimated that gunmen fired at the Israeli car while it traveled on the Fadouel-Elei Zahav road.
The man managed to drive to the settlement where he was taken to the Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva. Police said the man is a truck driver who delivers bread to settlements in the area.
His condition improved at the hospital, and is now defined as light. Hospital officials reported that he will undergo surgery on Thursday.
The last shooting attack occured in July when a young Palestinian who arrived at a roadblock near the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in Jerusalem opened fire at Border Guard officers who were in the area.
One of the officers was moderately injured, while the other sustained light wounds.
The officers fired back at the Palestinian terrorist and killed him. The injured were evacuated for medical treatment at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
