Palestinian foreign minister: Israel 'an abscess'; we will never recognize it

Palestinian Foreign Minister Mahmoud a-Zahar called Israel 'an abscess' on the Middle East, and added that Hamas would never recognize it. A-Zahar made the comments to a rally of Hamas supporters in Khan Younis in southern Gaza Friday.

According to a-Zahar, "Israel is a growth that planted itself on our land. It has no historical, religious or cultural justification, and we will never ever have relations with this growth." (AFP)
