The first day of testimonies of the Winograd Commission is finished. Head of the Israel National Emergency Economic Authority, Brigadier General (res.) Arnon Ben-Ami and former Military Intelligence chief Amos Malka testified before the commission Thursday.
The committee members posed questions about the reasons why the Israel National Emergency Economic Authority wasn't activated during the war. During the war, there was intense criticism for not declaring a state of emergency. Malka was asked about the intelligence arrangement on the eve of the withdrawal from Lebanon and his policies during his term. (Avriam Zino)
