Report: PA unity gov’t won’t include Israel recognition
“The Palestinian unity government will be established only after guarantees are given to remove the siege over the Palestinian people and following the completion of a deal to release kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit,” sources close to negotiations between the two sides told London based newspaper “Al Hayat”.
The sources also said that the future government’s platform would not include a clear recognition of Israel, but a vague definition on the issue. It was also reported that Hamas would give Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas the name of the next prime minister on its part. (Roee Nahmias)
