Students from an ultra-Orthodox high school in northern Israel will have their computer technician diplomas signed by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
The ultra-Orthodox Sitrin boarding school near Atlit has added an unusual subject to its curriculum of Torah and Talmud - computer science.
The subject is taught in a special course for haredi youth, who study in special computer labs constructed in Sitrin by the Mediatec College for Computers and Technology. At the end of the school year students will take their final exams at the Microsoft International Testing Center.
