A Democratic senator was hospitalized Wednesday after becoming disoriented while speaking with reporters. The episode was a glaring reminder to Democrats just how razor-thin their new one-vote majority in the Senate is.
Sen. Tim Johnson, who turns 60 on Dec. 28, was admitted to George Washington University Hospital with an undiagnosed illness. A spokeswoman, Julianne Fisher, said the senator did not suffer a stroke or heart attack. His office had said earlier it was a possible stroke. (AP)
