Tannenbaum says drugs deal that led to his kidnapping worth USD 200,000

Elhanan Tannenbaum, the Israeli businessman who was kidnapped by Hizbullah operatives in 2001, told a Tel Aviv court on Wednesday that he had sought to seal a drugs deal worth USD 200,000 with the organization.

 

Tannenbaum told the court that upon his return to Israel he didn't tell interrogators that he had traveled to Dubai to finalize a drugs deal. (Vered Luvitch)
