Reports: 3 US workers take medivac flights from Antarctica to New Zealand
Three American workers in the Antarctic were evacuated to New Zealand from the southern continent with medical conditions just before Christmas, local media reported on Tuesday.
David Bresnahan, the National Science Foundation representative at the American base at McMurdo Station, on the northern Antarctic coast, confirmed there had been two medivac flights from McMurdo to the southern New Zealand city of Christchurch on consecutive days, The Press newspaper reported.
