Adam Air passenger flight goes missing over Indonesia in bad weather

A commercial Adam Air passenger plane with nearly 100 people onboard lost contact with flight controllers Monday as it flew between Indonesia's Java and Sulawesi islands, the company's chief executive said.

Aviation authorities have been unable to contact Adam Air flight KI-574, Gunawan Suherman told The Associated Press. An Indonesian air traffic controller, Bhabr, told Metro TV that the plane hit "very bad" weather and may have run out of fuel because, if still airborne, would be "over its

(fuel) limit." (AP)
