Katsav: Don't condemn those whoe haven't been indicted

Israel's President Moshe Katsav, said that the public should understand that it is impossible to determine the fate of those who have not even been indicted yet. He said these things during a discussion of the recommendations of the Megidor Commission that is examining the governmental structure in Israel.

Katsav's statement came as a response to reporters' questions regarding how the public, whose faith in the political system continues to weaken, could accept the committee's recommendations, especially in light of the many investigations against public representatives. The President responded that they should wait until the investigations are over and let the court make the decision. (Aviram Zino)
