Amish food goes kosher

Organic pasta produced by Amish company receives kosher certification

Amish Naturals, Inc. announced Friday that its organic pasta line has been awarded Triangle K™ PARVE kosher certification.

The Triangle K™ symbol is carried by numerous category-leading national food brands, and assures consumers that products adorned by it meet all of the strictest standards concerning kosher laws for food production and consumption.

The premium, Amish produced pasta line received its certification following a visit to the Amish Naturals plant by Rabbi Aryeh L. Ralbag of New York-based kosher sanctioning body, Triangle K and Associates.

“Gaining Triangle K kosher certification is an important step forward for our company and our introductory line of pastas,” said Don Alarie, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Amish Naturals.

“It provides opportunities for our business here in the US and abroad, and satisfies the needs of the growing numbers of discerning consumers who seek kosher products,” he said.

The entire pasta line, consisting of five fettuccines, will carry the certification. The Plain, Tomato Basil, Garlic Parsley, Whole Wheat, and Fiber-Rich fettuccines have also been certified organic by the United States department of Agriculture.
