Senator Edwards: Bond between Israel, US will never be broken
US Senator John Edwards praised Israel’s willingness to compromise for the sake of resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, while simultaneously criticizing the Palestinians inflexibility. Edwards, who is contending to be the Democratic presidential candidate, spoke to the Herzliya Conference via live video Monday.
Israel must defend itself, and the US must stand beside it, Edwards said, stressing that the strong bonds between the two nations will never be severed. “Your future is our future,” he stated. (Ronen Bodoni)
