Committee criticizes IDF Chief Halutz's conduct on July 12

MK Ran Cohen, a member of Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee commented on a report presented by Major-General Doron Elmog on the incident is which soldiers were abducted from the northern border on July 12th, 2006 by saying that "the report's findings show that criminal behavior of all levels was going on at the time – from the battalion up to the chief of staff."
MK Silvan Shalom added "the Halutz did not know basic things. I think the reports are important and conclusions should be made and lessons learned that will be implemented by the elected chief of staff." (Miri Chason)
