The main disparity, they said, was in what she said she was wearing at the time of the rape in the two versions.
According to Katsav’s associates, in the account she told police complainant A. said the accused pulled down her pants and penetrated her, while the Sunday Times quotes her saying, “He pulled up my skirt.”

The president’s associates viewed this as a significant disparity in her testimonies and said it was not the only contradiction.
“We hope the police read the interview and fulfill their duty. The law enforcement system must understand they’re dealing with a manipulative woman. Maybe it’s time Attorney General (Menahem) Mazuz understand that her mask needs to be torn off,” they said.
The meeting between the Sunday Times reporter and the complainant took place at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Tel Aviv last Thursday. The complainant’s attorney Kineret
Barashi was present as well. Ynet has learned that Barashi tried to prevent the publication of the article, arguing that A.’s words were said “off the record”.
Ynet reporters asked Barashi to confirm that A. met with a Sunday Times reporter and the version of the rape given in the interview. “I don’t understand what you’re talking about,” Barashi said.
