Peres says Iran must calm down
"The world will not allow Iran to continue to go wild," said Deputy Premier Shimon Peres at a Haifa conference. Peres said that the agreement signed on Tuesday with North Korea, like other agreements signed with countries trying to obtain nuclear abilities, proves that sanctions will help in the fight against Iran's nuclear plans.
"What these countries have in common is that they invested in misilles instead of bread," said Peres. "Affective sanctions might work against Iran too."
