The Israeli Consulate in New York has recently opened a 'space' for the State of Israel on the My Space web site. The address is www.myspace.com/state_of_israel
Among the first to join the friend list were official fan clubs of actors George Clooney, Eddy Murphy and Leonardo DiCaprio, and singers Matisyahu and Regina Spektor.
My Space was purchased over a year ago by media mogul Rupert Murdoch for $500 million. With 154 million registered members and 300,000 new members daily, it was a worthy investment.

Scenes from Tel Aviv,
Who is Israeli?
and others.You can also find links to contemporary Israeli music and pictures of Israelis, displaying the diversity of Israeli culture.
David Saranga, Consul for Media and Public Affairs at the consulate General in New York, initiated the idea. Saranga said that this project is one of a series of new-media projects intended to reach the younger generation in non-conflict related topics.
The series includes a blog administered
by the consulate and an internet television channel intended for Christian viewers, to be launched shortly.
