Italian FM says Europeans acknowledge new Palestinian goverment
Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D'Alema said on Saturday at a meeting with Meretz Chairman MK Yossi Beilin in Italy, that a majority is forming among the members of the European Union to acknowledge the new Palestinian government.
Beilin replied that the EU should be cautious regarding the new government and base the opinions on the government's capability to forceplement the ceasefire, to release Gilad Shalit and to allow Mahmoud Abbas to negotiate with Israel. (Attila Somfalvi)
