Egypt: Young man seeking to meet Israeli consul arrested

The Egyptian security forces arrested Sunday a 26-year-old local man who was seeking an appointment with the Israeli consul in Alexandria.
The London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat reported that Mahmoud Khanafi has asked to meet with the consul in hope the consul could help him get a job in Israel, after all his attempts to find employment in Egypt failed. According to the security forces, the young man was mentally unstable and will remain in custody until his investigation is completed. (Roee Nhmias)
