Hundreds protest in Bangkok ahead of coup’s 6-month anniversary

Hundreds of protesters demanded the quick restoration of democracy in Thailand as they marked the six-month anniversary of a coup in this Southeast Asian country.

“Coup makers, get out!” the protesters shouted as they marched in Bangkok for the second consecutive night ahead of the anniversary Monday of the 19 September coup that ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. (AP)
