Tamil Tiger rebels ambushed a group of Sri Lankan soldiers killing two of them and wounding 12 others, the Defense Ministry said Monday.
Lt. Col. Upali Rajapakse, a senior officer at the military’s information center, said a firefight ensued following the ambush in eastern Batticaloa late Sunday. (AP)
