IDF forces accompanied by police officers entered the West Bank Palestinian village of Inabus in the early hours of Saturday morning and arrested nine locals suspected of involvement in the murder of 31-year-old Alan Dahar in Jaffa a month and-a-half ago.
Some of the detainees will be brought before a Tel Aviv Magistrates Court judge later in the day; police are expected to ask the court to extend their remand.
Dahar, also of Inabus, worked in Israel and lived in Jaffa with a few of his friends. On the night of the murder a scuffle broke out in their apartment, and medics dispatched to the scene treated the critically wounded Dahar on the spot; a doctor who arrived at the scene shortly thereafter pronounced him dead.
It is estimated that Dahar was killed by relatives of his wife after they found out that he had murdered her a few years back.
