Top US official: Iran has become greater threat than al-Qaeda
US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Affairs, Mark Kimmitt, said that Iran has become the biggest threat to the region, even more than al-Qaeda.
In an interview with London-based pan-Arab daily a-Sharq al-Awsat, Kimitt said the Americans were concerned about Iran, as were many other nations in the region. (Roee Nahmais)
