Likud MK calls on Olmert, Peretz to resign
Likud MK Yuli Edelstein called Sunday on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz to resign over the harsh criticism expected to be leveled at them by a government-appointed commission for mishandling last summer's war.
Edelstein said the Knesset should be dissolved if the two leaders refused to resign. "At a time when the State of Israel faces the most dangerous existential threats in its history, it is forbidden for Olmert and Peretz to stall for time at the expense of national security," he said.
