Egyptian envoy to Gaza says Qassam attacks harm Palestinian interests
The head of an Egyptian delegation to the Gaza Strip has called on Palestinian armed groups to stop firing rockets towards Israel, saying such attacks could draw Israeli retaliation and harm Palestinian interests.
A spokesperson for one of the groups, the Popular Resistance Committees, slammed the Egyptian official for his remarks: "The head of the Egyptian security delegation should speak positively about the rocket attacks or else shut up." (Ali Waked)
