Martyrs' Brigades execute collaborator in Ramallah

Savri Rezawei, 26, shot after admitting to collaborating with Israel for several months. Senior Brigades official: 'Shin Bet made him wanted man'

Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, executed a young Palestinian man in the West Bank city of Ramallah last night. Rezawei, 26, was shot in the head after he admitted to collaborating with Israeli security forces for the last several months.

Rezawei admitted in his interrogation that he was recruited by Israel a few months ago, and gave security forces information leading to the arrests of several Palestinian operatives in Ramallah.

Executers claimed Rezawei confessed to aiding in an operation just last Wednesday, in which IDF forces arrested an Al-Aqsa member, NaJei Ar'ar. An investigation by Al-Aqsa members lead them to Rezawei and another man, who was turned over to Palestinian security forced, for suspicion of being a collaborator as well.

A senior member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades told Ynet Saturday that "Rezawei told us he and the Shin Bet tried to recruit a woman for a suicide bombing a few months ago. Following that attempt, a few arrests were made of people who were supposed to be a part of that organization."

Rezawei was also named in an official indictment filed in Israel, after which he was asked to approach several Brigade members.

"After his confession, we executed him and turned the other defendant to the authorities for interrogation" said the Al-Aqsa senior member.
