Secondary schools in Gush Dan to strike
Classes will not be held in 7th-12th grades across Tel Aviv District
The Secondary Teachers' Organization will go on strike in the Tel Aviv District Wednesday. Classes will not be held in the 7th-12th grades, while matriculation exams and tutoring to students with learning disorders will be held as usual.
The teachers are protesting the foot-dragging in negotiations over their wages and terms of employment. On Tuesday, schools in the Northern District went on strike.
The strike will include Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Herzliya, Giv'atayim, Bnei Brak, Bat Yam, Or Yehuda, Holon, Efal regional council, Kfar Shmaryhau, Azur, Kiryat Ono, Ramat Hasharon and Ramat Gan.
Meanwhile, the student strike continued Wednesday, despite the ongoing negotiations between the students and the government. The students recently rejected a compromise proposal by the Prime Minister's Office and decided to go on with the strike.
