Peretz: Operations against terror bad influence on youth
Defense Minister Amir Peretz said Wednesday that Israeli society is more violent these days than in the past. The defense minister spoke at a convention in Eilat on violence in Israeli society.
“The influence of the military presence, incessant confrontations with the Palestinian population … is not healthy and a negative influence on behavioral norms of the younger generation. Yet, there is no alternative to the operations in the territories, because we must protect the lives and wellbeing of Israel’s citizens,” Peretz said. (Moran Zelikovich)
