Jerusalem was never united, says MK Beilin
The ceremonies held by the State to mark 40 years for the re-unification of Jerusalem are hallucinatory and disconnected from reality, Meretz-Yahad Chairman Yossi Beilin said during an Israeli-Palestinian rally in the capital.
"Jerusalem was never united. Those who visit it can easily see the border between the Jewish and Arab areas, and those who want to guarantee the Israeli interest and believe in peace understand that peace will be two states and two capitals," MK Beilin added. (Amnon Meranda)
